Rated categories: Lady, Junior, Senior, Distinquised Senior, Industry, STAFF, Military, Law enforcement, Most accurate shooter (Optic / PCC and Iron )
One competitor can chose only one categoty.
Category 1-3 place: plaque (in the case of a minimum of 5 competitors, in accordance with the current IDPA rules) In the most accurate shooter category, only the first place will be awarded.

This will be a 10 Stage, Tier 2 match featuring all divisions except PCC. Our primary emphasis with this match is close combat shooting with all targets 10 yards or less and 16 rounds max per string of fire. Although the match is open to all divisions except PCC, our primary emphasis is BUG. For this reason, we are offering BUG Optic as a Specialty Division(SPD). BUG -O shooters will compete under Carry Optic rules except for the gun test box size. BUG-O shooters will use the standard BUG box size with an optic cut. Sign up using your current BUG classification. Bug-O will use the CO Power Factor of 125. There will be no chrono for this match. BUG Optic loading will be 10+1. At the Match we will recognize BUG Optic as a Specialty Division and award trophies within this SPD. IDPA does not currently recognize BUG-O as a division, after the Match all BUG Optic shooters will have their SPD changed to CO for submission to IDPA for points credit. Staff will shoot on Saturday and competitors will shoot on Sunday. 4 Squads of 10 in the morning and 4 squads of 10 in the afternoon. Awards will be after the afternoon squads finish. Lunch will be provided. This Match is a great opportunity for your final “Tune-Up” before Nationals.

Join us for the 2026 Central California IDPA Regional hosted by 5 Dogs Action Shooters in Bakersfield. This Tier II IDPA-sanctioned match features 9 challenging stages, along with an equipment check. Also dubbed the \”Taco Match, our club is known for innovative and exciting stage designs.

Important Policy Update: SIG Sauer P320 Prohibition
The International Defensive Pistol Association, Inc. (IDPA), in response to numerous reports and videos, is immediately prohibiting the use of the SIG Sauer P320 in all of its variants from any competition or event sanctioned by the IDPA. All other SIG Sauer models may still be used in the division appropriate for their configuration.

Stage set up and registration will begin at 7:00AM.
Please arrive no later than 7:45AM if you are a new shooter and do not gear up until you have attended the new shooter briefing.
The mandatory Safety Meeting is scheduled for 8:00am. Registration closes when the Safety Meeting begins.
If you miss the safety meeting, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT.
Shooting will begin at 9:00AM or when all stages are done with setup whichever is earlier.
Eye and ear protection is required for all participants and observers.

COURSES OF FIRE The match will include 6-7 stages with a total minimum round count of 130. A concealment garment is required for most stages.

SAFETY OFFICERS We will have 6 squads and need at least 12 SOs to safely run all the shooters through the match.

MATCH DIRECTOR The match director for this match is Patrick Scalise.

The 2026 IDPA National Championship is scheduled for September 24th-26th, 2026 at The Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio.

Participants will be competing either all day Thursday or competing on Friday and Saturday (split days). Registration will open on April 20, 2026 at 9AM Central and will close on May 31, 2026 at 5PM Central. After May 31, competitor selection will begin.

We are excited to be at The Cardinal Center and we look forward to seeing you there. Noel Gardner will be serving as match director. Assisting him as AMDs are Skip Darden and Bryant Brough.

This year we will have a Founder’s Reception on Friday night from 7-9PM.  Join IDPA Founder’s John Sayle, Bill Wilson and Ken Hackathorn as they discuss the creation and evolution of IDPA.
