The Match is Sunday July 26 & Staff will shoot Saturday July25, 2026. We are again Tier 3 in 2026! but the match is going back to a ONE DAY match so space is limited!
If you are considering joining us for the first time as staff, please contact the Match Director prior to registering. (There is a different registration point for staff and opportunities are limited as returning staff are given priority.)

Please note the following CLUB rules for the match.
– NO MUZZLES OVER BERMS. Revolvers with open cylinders exempted.
– A dropped or grounded gun anywhere on club property is a match DQ.
– Appendix carry (AIWB) will be allowed.
– PCC will be allowed .
– There may be additional information posted at later dates. This information will be included in the match book which will be issued mid-week prior to match. Please read it.
-While we understand emergencies happen and plans change, we cannot offer refunds within 30 days of the match. (After June 26, 2026) Please understand that shirts, food, water, awards, props, prizes all have a cost and the match is committed to paying those costs.

2026 IDPA pistol match at Greene Rod and Gun Club
NRA Sanctioned Special Tournament document is required by New York State Penal code 265.20, subsection 13 for out of state shooters to print to have while traveling to/from Greene Rod and Gun Club.
Number of shooters anticipated per match = 15 to 45
Important: Out of state shooters travelling in to New York with pistol and ammo will need to print the NRA Sanctioned document to carry with them in case pulled over coming to match or pulled over going home. This is the primary reason to seek NRA Sanction

S 265.20 Exemptions.
a. Paragraph (h) of subdivision twenty-two of section 265.00 and
sections 265.01, 265.01-a, subdivision one of section 265.01-b, 265.02,
265.03, 265.04, 265.05, 265.10, 265.11, 265.12, 265.13, 265.15, 265.36,
265.37 and 270.05 shall not apply to:

Possession of pistols and revolvers by a person who is a nonresident of this state while attending or traveling to or from, an organized competitive pistol match or league competition under auspices of, or approved by, the National Rifle Association and in which he is a competitor, within forty-eight hours of such event or by a person who is a non-resident of the state while attending or traveling to or from an organized match sanctioned by the International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association and in which he is a competitor, within forty-eight hours of such event, provided that he has not been previously convicted of a felony or a crime which, if committed in New York, would constitute a felony, and further provided that the pistols or revolvers are transported unloaded in a locked opaque container together with a copy of the match program, match schedule or match registration card. Such documentation shall constitute prima facie evidence of exemption, providing that such person also has in his possession a pistol license or firearms registration card issued in accordance with the laws of his place of residence. For purposes of this subdivision, a person licensed in a jurisdiction which does not authorize such license by a person who has been previously convicted of a felony shall be presumed to have no prior conviction. The superintendent of state police shall annually review the laws of jurisdictions within the United States and Canada with respect to the applicable requirements for licensing or registration of firearms and shall publish a list of those jurisdictions which prohibit possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a felony or crimes which if committed in New York state would constitute a felony.

Club level match which we take time to mentor shooters new to sport to learn and enjoy safety action shooting. 4-5 Stages event based on participant help with setup guided by our Safety Officers and experience shooters. All welcome.
