Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club IDPA is excited to bring a sanctioned match back to RRPC for the first time since 2017.

The 2026 IDPA Charlottesville Showdown is a tier-2 specialty match for BUG (semiauto), REV, and CCP divisions only.
The match will consist of 9 stages including a warmup, with an approximate round count of 160.
Lunch and a match T-shirt are included with registration.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Appendix Carry (AIWB) is not permitted at this match.
Per IDPA policy, the Sig Sauer P320 and all variants are prohibited from use in IDPA competition and are not permitted at this match.
NO REFUNDS AFTER August 1st. An administrative processing charge will be deducted if a refund is requested.
NO DIVISION CHANGES AFTER September15th. Classification changes as necessary. Please notify us ASAP if you receive a match bump prior to the match.

Important Policy Update: SIG Sauer P320 Prohibition
The International Defensive Pistol Association, Inc. (IDPA), in response to numerous reports and videos, is immediately prohibiting the use of the SIG Sauer P320 in all of its variants from any competition or event sanctioned by the IDPA. All other SIG Sauer models may still be used in the division appropriate for their configuration.

Safety Officer price: $10.00

Stage set up and registration will begin at 1:00PM.
Please arrive no later than 1:45PM if you are a new shooter and do not gear up until you have attended the new shooter briefing.
The mandatory Safety Meeting is scheduled for 2:00PM. Registration closes when the Safety Meeting begins.
If you miss the safety meeting, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT.
Shooting will begin at 3:00PM or when all stages are done with setup whichever is earlier.
Eye and ear protection is required for all participants and observers.

COURSES OF FIRE The match will include 6-7 stages with a total minimum round count of 130. A concealment garment is required for most stages.

SAFETY OFFICERS We will have 3 squads and need at least 9 SOs to safely run all the shooters through the match.

MATCH DIRECTOR The match director for this match is Tom Ropers.

New shooters who aren’t proficient in safe gun handling might not be allowed to shoot the night stages, as recommended by the squad Safety Officers.

While this match is open to all, after the daylight stages there will be the annual Badger IDPA Board elections followed by food and raffle prizes for current members. This is also our election meeting. Watch for an email with current position openings if youre interested in joining the Badger board!

Fulton County Sportsmans Club is located in Wauseon, Ohio and has been hosting IDPA matches for over a decade.

Matches are held on the third weekend, April to October, with Setup on Saturday and Shooting on Sunday.

Matches consist of 6 stages.
