Classification Extensions

We understand that there has been some confusion regarding classification dates currently displayed on the website. Keep in mind that this is because of the classification extension applied automatically due to the COVID-19 extensions IDPA HQ offered.

We announced April 28, 2020 that effective May 1, 2020, we will be adding one year to all classifications that were set to expire in 2020 so that the classification will be extended to 2021. This option will only affect classifiers with a 2019 completed date. What this means is that any classifier or sanctioned match you shot in 2019 will be extended a year, allowing you to compete through all of 2020 in that particular division. This change happened behind the scenes and was updated on the IDPA website automatically. This does mean that there may be a date displayed that you know you weren’t at the range. This is the date that was automatically applied with the annual extension.

If you have any further questions about your classification, please contact the Helpdesk at help@idpa.com. https://www.idpa.com/my-account/
