2027 IDPA World Championship
The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is excited to announce that the Fifth IDPA World Championship will take place September 17–19, 2027, at the prestigious Brock’s Gap Training Center in Pell City, Alabama.
The World Championship will bring together the top IDPA competitors from around the globe to compete in one of the sport’s premier events. The championship is currently scheduled as a three-day competition, with the potential to expand to a fourth day should competitor registration warrant the additional capacity.
As with previous IDPA World Championships, competitor eligibility will be determined through the IDPA Match Points Qualification Program. Members will earn qualifying match points during the qualification period running from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027. Opportunities to compete will be available based on the number of match points accrued during that period in accordance with IDPA Championship qualification procedures.
“We’re excited to bring the IDPA World Championship to Brock’s Gap Training Center,” said the IDPA Executive Director Joyce Wilson. “The facility provides an outstanding venue for showcasing the highest level of defensive pistol competition while offering competitors an exceptional championship experience. We look forward to welcoming the world’s best IDPA shooters to Alabama in 2027.”
