Dates Set For 3rd Annual Comp-Tac Republic Of Texas IDPA Championship

HOUSTON, Texas – For the third year in a row Houston-based holster manufacturer Comp-Tac Victory Gear will be the title sponsor of the Lone Star State’s top IDPA match, the Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA Championship.

“As a proud Texas company, Comp-Tac is dedicated to supporting the Lone Star State’s shooting sports community and we are honored to once again be the title sponsor of the Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA Championship,” said Randi Rogers, sales and marketing manager for Comp-Tac.

Hosted by the Collin County IDPA club, the 2015 Comp-Tac Republic of Texas will take place on Sunday, May 24 at the Triple C Tactical Range in Cresson, Texas. The match will feature 12 stages with a round count of 205. Officials expect over 250 shooters to compete in this championship event sanctioned by the International Defensive Pistol Association.

"The International Defensive Pistol Association is incredibly fortunate to be working with and have the support of great firearms industry brands like Comp-Tac," said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA. “Over the years Comp-Tac has been a tireless supporter of the shooting sports and IDPA in particular. Their sponsorship of the Republic of Texas Championship has made it one of the most popular matches in the country.”

Registration for the 2015 Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA Championship will soon open. Those interested in competing in one of the premier championship events on the IDPA calendar are encouraged to register as early as possible as this match will sell out quickly.
