TULSA, Okla. – Team Smith & Wesson’s Josh Lentz captured the national Stock Service Revolver division title this past weekend at the 2013 IDPA U.S. National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lentz, who is one of the shooters ranked a Distinguished Master in the SSR division, took top honors on five of the 17 stages to finish with a final time of 327.75 seconds and 54 points down.

“With his teammate Jerry Miculek, Josh delivered a one-two punch in the revolver divisions for Team Smith & Wesson. He’s an extraordinarily talented wheelgunner and I’m sure we’ll see several more SSR national trophies added to Josh’s trophy case in the coming years,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

Finishing over 18 seconds behind Lentz in second place was fellow Distinguished Master Joseph Linskey who completed the match in a time of 346.23 seconds with 49 points down. Third place went to the other Distinguished Master in the championship, Kirk Crego, the defending champion. Crego posted a final time of 352.73 with 77 points down.

Rounding out the top five were Jess Christensen, the first Master, in fourth with 355.78 (81), and Tom Becker, second Master, in fifth with 363.20 (88). Elsewhere in the division Steve Duich claimed first Expert with 382.99 (71), Bill Schroll won first Sharpshooter with 413.66 (62), and Phil Torres took first Marksman with 531.55 (90). Juan Cheng, the only international shooter in the division, finished second Expert with 392.21 (75).

The 2013 IDPA U.S. National Championship took place September 19-22 in Tulsa, Okla., drawing many of the shooting sports' top pistol and revolver shooters.
