SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For the fifth year in a row Smith & Wesson and the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) crowned Randi Rogers the High Lady champion of the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship.

Competing for Comp-Tac Victory Gear where she not only shoots for the team but also manages the holster maker’s marketing efforts, Rogers outgunned a talented group of women by winning nine of the 12 stages and finishing second Master and third overall in the Stock Service Pistol division with a time of 202.60 with 93 points down.

Rogers finished 11th overall among all 324 competitors competing in all five divisions.

“Right now Randi is the dominant female competitor in IDPA, but it’s her desire and ability to go toe-to-toe with her male counterparts that is so impressive. When Randi enters the match she isn’t there just to win High Lady, she in it to win it all. And though she may have beat me handily in the High Lady competition, her performance this year should make all the women in IDPA proud,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

As part of its continued focus on women shooters, Smith & Wesson this year recognized not just the top female shooter but the top three, and honored Michelle Wood as the second High Lady finishing in SSP as a Master with 261.82 (132) and Cindy Bowser as third High Lady with her ESP Expert finish of 263.82 (132).

The 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship took place February 21-23 at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Mass., drawing many of the shooting sports' top pistol shooters from 28 states, one U.S. territory and three foreign nations.
