King of New England Stages Announced For 2014 Massachusetts State IDPA

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Organizers of the 18th Annual Massachusetts State IDPA Championship, presented by Smith & Wesson, announced the four stages that will be part of this year’s Apex King of New England series.

The Massachusetts State IDPA Championship is the first leg of a three match King of New England series which is once again presented by Apex Tactical Specialties. The three event concurrent competition features four (4) stages from each of New England’s biggest IDPA matches.

The stages counting towards the 2014 King of New England title are stages 2, 3, 8 and 9. Stage 5 will serve as the alternate King of New England stage. You can review all 10 stages of the course of fire online at IDPA.com.

“The Massachusetts State Championship is ready to kick things off in the battle for the King of New England and we think the four stages we’ve selected are a fitting start for this popular series,” said John Catterall, match director for the championship.

The match will be hosted by the Rod & Gun Club of New Bedford which has hosted the match since 1997. Match staff and VIPs are set to shoot on Friday, June 6, followed by the main body of competitors taking on the 10 stage match Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8.

NSSF Returns As Major Sponsor Of 2014 IDPA U.S. National Championship

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced that the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, will for the seventh year in a row be a major sponsor of IDPA’s annual U.S. National Championship.

Since 2008, the close working relationship between IDPA and NSSF has helped grow participation in IDPA dramatically. As part of the organization’s overall mission to promote the shooting sports in America, NSSF has again partnered with IDPA to make the sport’s National Championship one of the best.

Comp-Tac Republic Of Texas IDPA Championship Draws Lone Star State’s Best

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – The Lone Star State’s top shooters are headed to Cresson, Texas in two weeks to test their defensive shooting skills in the 2014 Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA Championship.

Serving as the state’s premier defensive pistol shooting competition and state championship match, the sold-out Comp-Tac Republic of Texas IDPA Championship will take place Saturday, May 24 at the Triple C Tactical Range in Cresson. The event is being hosted by the Collin County IDPA club.

“Comp-Tac is very pleased to once again be the title sponsor of the Republic of Texas IDPA Championship. IDPA Announces Dates For 2014 S&W New England Regional Championship

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced the dates for the 2014 New England Regional IDPA Championship, and that the match will once again be sponsored by Smith & Wesson.

Taking place the weekend of August 15-17, the 2014 Smith & Wesson New England Regional IDPA Championship will be hosted by the MetroWest Tactical IDPA club at the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club.

Smith & Wesson Title Sponsor of 2014 Costa Rican IDPA National Championship

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Rodrigo Carvajal, match director for the 2014 Costa Rican IDPA National Championship announced that Smith & Wesson will be the title sponsor of this year’s match.

The 2014 Smith & Wesson Costa Rican IDPA National Championship takes place April 10-12 in San Jose, Costa Rica, and will be hosted by IDPA Costa Rica at Rancho Arizona. The championship is expected to draw top shooters from Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Austria and the United States.

“The Costa Rican National Championship continues to grow in popularity among shooters from throughout the region and that is thanks to the strong support we receive from our sponsors.
