SCENARIO: You live in the country and have come home early from a weekend trip and the kids have thrown a party. Unknowingly some of the ‘guests’ invited are gang members and the rest of the gang has decided to crash the party with ill intentions. You hear screams and rough language. You’ve dialed 911 but, knowing that help is many, many minutes away, and with a group coming out to confront you; you realize it is up to you to defend your kids, their actual friends, and yourself.

PROCEDURE: Starting at P1, gun loaded to division capacity, holstered. Cell phone in strong hand up to ear, support hand relaxed at side.

At the signal drop the phone, draw, and then engage PP1 – PP3 (activating T1-T3) while on the move to P2. Shooters may re-engage steel from cover at P2. Next engage T1-T3 in tactical priority from cover at P2. Move to P3 and engage T4-T5 through the window and THEN move to P4. lastly, engage T6-T7 from cover at P4.

California State Championship '13 Stage 2: It Was A Prison Break

SCENARIO: Lucky to have survived your carjacking with only a GSW to the sup-port side arm, you are headed to cover at the back of the truck stop, when a desert rat steps out and asks if you heard about the prison break. Just then the last of the prisoners tries to finish you off.

PROCEDURE: Start standing at P1, support side arm limp at side. Gun is loaded with 6 rounds only, holstered and concealed, spare ammo on belt. Firing side hand is resting on non-threats shoulder holding him parallel to the ground.

At the signal, remove your hand, push the desert rat out of the way and engage the escapee with the remain-ing 6 rounds in your gun without hitting the non-threat.

SCENARIO: Too cheap to get a room, you decide to pull over at an abandoned truck stop near Elko. You lock the doors, lay your loaded pistol at the ready on your passenger seat, and crack the windows to lay back for a nap. Just as you are falling asleep you hear gunshots and your passenger window is smashed in. You start to exit the vehicle when the carjackers appear at your windows brandishing handguns and attack dogs.

PROCEDURE: Start with gun loaded to division capacity, placed on the passenger seat and covered. Shooter is sitting in drivers seat with arms crossed on chest, back of head touching seatback.

At the signal, open drivers door and engage T1 (clamshell) and T2-T3 out the passenger window. Then, engage T4 – T7, and S1 & S2 out the drivers side in tactical priority, using the vehicle as cover.

SCENARIO: You are flying to an IDPA match when terrorists take over the jet. An air marshal seated next to you starts to intervene and gets shot. A terrorist leans over to take the marshal’s gun and you see your chance.

PROCEDURE: Start at P1, your gun loaded and on dummy. Strong hand holding “strike pen” both hands touching knees.

At the signal, drive your Tactical Pen into T1. Pick up the gun and engage T2-T4 with 2 rounds each in tactical priority from low cover.

SCENARIO: Basic skills test.

PROCEDURE: Start at position indicated per string, gun loaded to capacity unless otherwise noted. Hands naturally at sides. No cover garment required.

String 1: From P3 starting facing up range and only 6 rounds in gun. Engage T1-T3 with 2 rnds each lower scoring zone, preform a reload and re-engage T1-T3 with 2 rnds each lower scoring zone.

String 2: From P2, engage T1-T3 with 2 rnds each lower scoring zone, strong hand only.

String 3: From P2, engage T1-T3 with 3 rnds each lower scoring zone then re-engage with 1 rnd each upper scoring zone.

String 4: From P1, engage T1-T3 with 2 rnds each upper scoring zone with strong hand only.

String 5: From P1, engage T1-T3 with 2 rnds each lower scoring zone, support hand only.

At the signal, draw and move to P2. Engage T1 with 2 rounds to the lower scoring zone and 1 to the upper. You may engage from P2 or choose to move to P3 to be closer or to open up the shot.

SCENARIO: While BBQing in your back yard, several thugs head into your neighborhood to cause trouble. One jumps the fence heading straight towards you in a sadistic rage; you then realize they have the neighbor kids surrounded in their back yard after hearing screams of terror.

PROCEDURE: Start Standing at P1, facing up range, strong hand holding cooking utensil with utensil touching the grill, support hand touching knob. Gun loaded to division capacity, holstered and concealed.

At the signal, turn, draw and engage targets T1-T2 while moving to P2. From cover at P2 engage targets T3-T6, in tactical priority (barricade order). All targets require 3 shots each.

SCENARIO: You attending a 2nd Amendment rally hosted by the local Tea Party. Rabid gun grabbers attack the peaceful protest with Molotov cocktails. You are stuck in the crowd and can not move much. Do what you can to help your friends.

PROCEDURE: Start at P1, gun loaded and concealed, both hands are holding protest sign.

At the signal, drop sign and engage T1-T4 with 2 rounds each to the lowers scoring zone in tactical priority. Then re-engage with 1 round to each upper scoring zone.
