MADISON, N.C. – Remington Arms Company, LLC (Remington), part of the Freedom Group Family of Companies, announced today it has acquired The American Parts Company Inc. (TAPCO).

TAPCO is a designer and marketer of American-made aftermarket accessories and replacement parts for handguns, rifles, shotguns, modern sporting rifles and other tactical firearms.  All aspects of the product development cycle are managed from within the company. State of the art computer aided design, rapid prototyping and extensive testing have allowed TAPCO to bring innovative and dependable products to the shooting marketplace.

Called 'No More Peach for Me,' stage 5 presents you with a home invasion that catches you snoozing on the couch. This stage was designed by Tammy Lyne and is sponsored by Remington Arms Company.

CSO: Your CSO for this stage will be Chris Roper.

SCENARIO: You are passed out from drinking too much “peach” when you awake to a home invasion.

PROCEDURE: Start lying on couch, fingers interlaced on chest, loaded gun and reloads on table where indicated. At signal, push over pepper popper, retrieve gun and engage T1 with 6 rounds while seated on couch. Then exit house while engaging T2-T6 in tactical priority with a minimum of 2 rounds each.

Countdown To The Cup: Demo To Win A Remington R1

Along with supporting the Carolina Cup as one of the match's major sponsors, Remington Arms will also be hosting one of the demo bays where those attending the match will have the opportunity to shoot the Remington R1 1911 pistol.

Remington will demo all four models of their 1911 R1 including the R1 Enhanced that was recently featured on History Channel's Top Shot in a precision shooting episode. Remington will also hold a drawing. Every match participant that visits the demo bay can enter a drawing to win an R1 1911.

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – One of IDPA's biggest championship events just got bigger thanks to the support of firearms industry icon Colt's Manufacturing Company and the hearing protection firm EAR-East, which according to officials with the International Defensive Pistol Association have both signed on as sponsors of this weekend's Carolina Cup.
