Many thanks to the Guthsville Rod & Gun Club; host of the 2008 IDPA National Championship.

The 2008 IDPA National Championship is over and Ted Murphy pulled off another great match. This championship had 17 exciting stages requiring at least 197 rounds from each competitor. 316 competitors put at least 62,252 rounds downrange during the match. 127 competitors participated in the BUG Side Match, putting another 1,905 rounds downrange for a minimum of 64,157 rounds downrange.
Special thanks to Ted Murphy and all his staff for an absolutely wonderful experience for all competitors. The members of Guthsville Rod & Gun Club also deserve a special thanks for the use of their wonderful facilities.
As far as stats were concerned, Jennifer Wilson, Jane Fleming and Sandra Tumbleson managed to get scores posted within 15 minutes of the last shot being fired and most of that time was waiting for the printer. During the 4 days of the match, they entered 5,372 stage results for the championship and 381 stage results for the BUG Side Match. Thank you, ladies! We appreciate all your efforts.
There is one person that normally doesn't get mentioned. That's the person that finds wonderful things such as the match hotel, lunch, food for the hospitality room, food for the banquet, drinks on the range, the carts that get the drinks to the shooters, ice for those drinks, shooter's bags, things to go in the shooter's bags, sponsors for the match, banners for the sponsors, etc. There are so many things needed for the match that I could write all day and still forget something. Rest assured, if you enjoyed yourself at this match, you should thank this person in addition to the Match Director. This person is Robert Ray. If Ted didn't take care of it, Robert did. Thank you, Robert, for all you do!
Robert was also instrumental in getting NSSF First Shots Seminars set up for the last day of the match. What a wonderful thought; there were people at the 2008 IDPA National Championship taking their first shot ever while the championship was going on around them.
To everyone that took care of something for this match; Thank You! A special thanks to all the people listed below for their work during the match.
